About us

The Graduate School for Social Research (GSSR) at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences educates students at the postgraduate level. We offer  programmes giving the possibility of obtaining a British Master of Arts degree from Lancaster University, and as well as programmes leading to a doctorate awarded by the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Students who successfully complete our postgraduate programme requirements  giving the possibility of obtaining a British Master of Arts degree awarded by Lancaster University are eligible to continue to the School's PhD programme.
